Frequently Asked Questions
Can I sign my child up for more than one camp?
Yes, in fact, we encourage it. Each program is completely different, so your child can enjoy them all without repeating activities! Make sure you pack a lunch if you enroll in both AM and PM camps! Lunch time is 12-1pm.
+Who are the Mad Science camp instructors?
Mad Science instructors tend to be college students pursuing an education or science degree, former/retired teachers, or teachers on summer break. All of our instructors have experience working with large groups of elementary-aged children and have undergone an extensive background check.
+What is the camp schedule? MORNING CAMP
Typically, our camps begin at 9:00am. We spend about 15 minutes discussing the previous days activities, socializing, and checking in. From 9:15-10:15, we do a hands-on science lesson. Then, we break for time outdoors (weather permitting). From 10:45-11:45, we'll do our second lesson. The final 15 minutes are for clean up and check out.
+What is the camp schedule? AFTERNOON CAMP
Typically, our camps begin at 1:00pm. We spend about 15 minutes discussing the previous days activities, socializing, and checking in. From 1:15-2:15, we do a hands-on science lesson. Then, we break for time outdoors (weather permitting). From 2:45-3:45, we'll do our second lesson. The final 15 minutes are for clean up and check out.

If they are staying all day, they should bring 2 snacks (and a lunch!) *Popcorn and lemonade snack provided at all our lab in Millvale only. Please do not send nut-based products to any camp locations.
